Year of the Tiger 2010

Chinese Astrology uses a 60 year cycle to announce this Year of the Tiger 2010 commencing on Feb 4 of the Solar calendar, celebrated on Feb 14 according to the Lunar calendar.

This year promises to be one of turbulence prompting punters to attempt to make gains in the Stock market by adopting a “hit & run” attitude claiming “recovery” had already set in instigated by the media. In the first six months following Feb 2010, the economy will continue to show signs of “improvement” even though there will be a real “lack of money” in the economy. The weeks following May 23 marks how the economy/political scenario will be pan out in 2011/2. From Aug 2010 the Stock market will slowly enter negative territory with the falling US$/rising AUD$ and unemployment at record levels to augur in a gloomy 2011.

In terms of the individual animal signs this is the prognosis:

  • there will be obstacles in work matters and issues to be ironed out in relationships for the Rat especially after May 2010
  • the Ox will find new opportunities coming its’ way but would need to douse its’ ego or risk losing friendships/relationships
  • the Tiger will experience a self-penalty with overspending and unwarranted accusations levelled against him towards the end of the year
  • professional matters will be especially good for the Rabbit who needs to scrutinize who his real friends are
  • Dragons will see more opportunities than expected coming their way but need to be careful to bite only what they can "chew"
  • Snakes having a direct clash with the Tiger will experience challenges and explore the need to change jobs mid-year due to confusion and earning ability
  • the Horse will see good fortune and opportunities after May 2010 but need to be cautious on the interpersonal level
  • Goats need to adapt and accept change in the professional arena for the better and definitely avoid taking risks
  • the Monkey will also be clashing with the Tiger and experience pressure on many fronts. They need to be thankful for the support they receive from their well wishers
  • the Rooster will have mixed fortunes but increased travel opportunities
  • Dogs need to be more transparent in their dealings with others
  • the Pig needs to properly allocate for expenditure in 2010 accepting the fact that there will be many sudden issues that will crop up to be deal with
